Could You Qualify for a Home

With Habitat?

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TO HOLD INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS

JANUARY 28 AND JANUARY 31

Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County will hold meetings for those interested in learning more about how families qualify to become homeowners with Habitat. Homes are built with low-income families who commit to providing “sweat equity” in construction and qualify for a low, no-interest mortgage. Habitat sells the homes with a 0% interest loan and at no profit, which keeps the cost of the home low. In order to qualify for a Habitat home, applicants must meet three criteria through an application and interview process: 1) need for housing, 2) ability to pay, and 3) willingness to partner.

The first meeting will be Thursday, January 28, 6:30 p.m. at First Christian Church in Martinsville, 89 South Main Street. The second meeting will be held Sunday, January 31, 3:00 p.m. at the Mooresville Library, 220 West Harrison.

Interested families and any other interested persons are encouraged to attend.

The mission of Habitat is to work in partnership with God and God’s people, developing lasting relationships with families in need by building and renovating houses so all in Morgan County have decent houses in which they can live and grow as God intended.
