For Another Simple, Decent Habitat Home in Morgan County!

The population of Morgan County is reported to be just about 70,000. I am asking each person in Morgan County to reserve a position in the “virtual” chain of supporters from the top of Morgan County north of Mooresville (on Rt. # 67) to the Owen County line, just past Paragon. Your reserved spot will cost you a “minimum of $1.00”.

If you would like to sponsor a ¼ mile, the cost would be $473.00, ½ mile would be $946.00, ¾ mile would be $1,419.00, and a whole mile would be $1,890.00.

This is a distance of 27 miles. We need a minimum of 1,890 people to cover each mile, so this is a total of 51,030 people, needed to complete the chain. THIS WOULD BE ENOUGH TO BUILD ANOTHER HABITAT HOME.

You can reserve as many spaces as you wish, minimum of $1.00 per space (more would be better!!) Get your family, friends, church group, clubs, businesses etc. involved. This would be a great way to promote team building, for groups, families, and/or a great church wide project. We will keep a map and a running total, here at the Habitat office that you can view, as we complete the chain. There are mile markers on 67 so we will start up north and come south.

If you want a specific spot, we can do that as well. When completed, we will have the funding necessary to build another home in Morgan County . We will keep you posted as to when and where we will start construction.

This will be a (6) six months to a full year project, so let’s get started. Let’s complete the chain with no broken spaces and help another family get into a decent place to live and grow.

Each of us can spare at least $1.00. A dollar by its self can’t do much, but when put with many others, can build a house.
