DID YOU KNOW?

YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DIRECT PART OR ALL OF YOUR
UNITED WAY STATE  CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION TO
HABITAT for HUMANITY OF MORGAN COUNTY ?

Last year we informed many of our Habitat supporters that it is possible to give part of your United Way pledge to us, even though we are not an “official” United Way agency.  And many took advantage of that opportunity to include Habitat in their combined giving.  We hope even more donors will do so this year.  Also, if you are a state or federal employee, you can specifically designate Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County on your pledge form.

HELP US HELP FELLOW RESIDENTS OF MORGAN COUNTY…

…with safe, affordable housing.  Habitat houses are sold, not given away, to families who meet Habitat's criteria and who would not qualify for a regular bank mortgage.

YOU MUST SPECIFY..

…if you want some or all of your pledge to go to Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County.

FOR UNITED WAY:  Put “Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County” on the special designation line of your United Way pledge card where you can list specific recipients of your pledge.  Please be very specific to include “Morgan County.”

FOR STATE EMPLOYEES:  Use the specific code number for Morgan County Habitat for Humanity on the State Employees Combined Campaign form:  #516800

FOR THE COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN:  Use the specific code number for Morgan County Habitat for Humanity on the form:  #66932

WHY ARE THESE DIRECTIONS SO SPECIFIC AND PICKY?

Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, Indiana is not a United Way agency but we can receive specifically designated contributions.  If you make a general pledge to United Way and you do not list Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, then we do not receive money from your pledge.

REMEMBER UNITED WAY!

Because United Way permits Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County, Indiana to piggyback on the United Way campaign, please consider making part of your contribution a general gift to United Way as well.
